  • 8:30 – 9:15 a.m. ROTC Mandatory Information Sessions (Army 236 and Navy 342)
  • 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Honors College Mandatory Information Session, Graduate Life Center Auditorium
  • 10 – 11:30 a.m. Welcome to Virginia Tech for students, Colonial Hall, second floor of Squires Student Center
  • 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Lunch and Group Meeting with Orientation Leader, Various Locations inside Squires
  • 1 – 1:45 p.m. Academic Success and Services for Students with Disabilities/Campus Tour, Graduate Life Center Auditorium
  • 1:50 – 2:35 p.m. Academic Success and Services for Students with Disabilities/Campus Tour, Graduate Life Center Auditorium

Day 2

  • 7 – 7:45 a.m. Students and Families: Move out of residence halls, West Ambler Johnston Hall (students), New Hall West (families)/Breakfast, D2 at Dietrick Hall
  • 8 a.m. Students and Families: Assemble at Dietrick Plaza outside of Dietrick Hall to be escorted to college academic advising sessions (engineering and university studies students will not be escorted to their advising session; check your name tag for your advising time/location)
  • 8:30 a.m. – Noon (Engineering and Science go until 12:30 p.m.
  • 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Students and Families:
    • Hokie Passport ID Photo and Pick-up, Student Services Building
    • Bursar’s Office (Student Accounts)/Financial Aid Drop-in, Student Services Building
    • Sign Software License Agreement and Register for Software Access, Software Distribution, 3420 Torgersen Hall (Note: You must pick up your Hokie Passport ID card prior to visiting Torgersen Hall)
  • 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Cadet Paperwork and Uniform Fittings, Air Force Classroom, second floor of Military Building (arrive no later than 3:30 p.m.)
  • 1 – 1:45 p.m. Cadet Mandatory Session – Haymarket (except session 12, 13, and 14 -- Colonial Hall on off days)
  • 1 – 1:50 p.m. Students and Families: Self-Guided Recreational Sports Facility Tours, McComas Hall (Self-guided tour sheets are available at the front desk)
  • 1 – 2 p.m. Students and Families: Health Professions Advising, Smith Career Center
  • 2 p.m. Students and Families: Highty-Tighty Regimental Band Auditions, 120 Thomas Hall
  • 2:15 p.m. Students and Families: Optional tours for students interested in living in the Residential College at West Ambler Johnston, first floor of West Ambler Johnston Hall
